Data Management Analyst - Full Time

Beam Reach Consulting Group seeks a full-time data management analyst with experience in government program data analysis and infrastructure and/or security to support client projects related to U.S. energy, transportation, security, or other infrastructure. Candidates will apply expertise in data analytics, project financials and other project metrics, and data analysis tools and techniques, to support clients in government and industry.

  • Position: Data Management Analyst - Full Time

  • Location: Washington, DC metro area. Flexible office location opportunity. Reliable internet connectivity required to work remotely and join virtual meetings. Some domestic travel may be needed for short (2-3 day) meetings, subject to availability.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, economics, mathematics, statistical analysis or data analytics. Advanced degree in similar fields is a strong plus.

  • Experience: 5+ years in project measurement, data analysis, information and data management consulting, or similar direct practice in industry or government.

  • Desired skills: Knowledge of current data analysis practices and tools, project and program metrics, and US federal government measurement programs. Knowledge of energy and/or security program data measurement topics is a strong plus. Effective written and oral communication skills are a must. Mastery of current software tools for business and data analysis is desired, including advanced application of statistical and data analysis tools (e.g. MS Office Suite, MS Access, Power BI, SharePoint, Visio, GSuite, VBA, Tableau, Python data transformation methods).

  • Development of templates and tools to track project metrics for key client programs.

  • Participate in discussions on complex technical topics with subject matter experts. Form analysis and recommendations based on meeting outcomes.

  • Development of creative and effective data visualizations.

  • Attend and actively participate in client meetings and discussions.

  • Lead initiatives to improve data collection and measurement.

  • Recommend, develop, and implement process improvements.
